Chicago, IL — The Fourth Annual Chicago Food Film Festival opens this Wednesday November 20th and runs through Saturday, November 23rd at Kendall College. Hosted by Travel Channel’s George Motz, The Food Film Festival is the only festival in the world where guests get to Taste What They See on the Screen…right in their seats! Every guest ticket is all-inclusive of all film screenings, food, drinks and access to an After-Party. VIP-level tickets include access to a Pre-Party and prime theatre seating.

The official kick-off party for the 2013 Chicago Food Film Festival will feature the 1st authentic Ramen Burgers ever served in Chicago. Meet and eat with Ramen Burger creator Keizo Shimamoto. Plus takoyaki, oysters from Shaw’s, treats from Christina Tosi’s Momofuku Milk Bar, and more!

Judges

The Chicago Food Film Festival is a competitive film festival that presents six awards: Warsteiner Best Super-Short, Jarlsberg Best Short, In The Raw Best Food Porn, Food Filmmaker of the Year, Terlato Wines Made in Chicago Award and the Frei Brothers Reserve Audience Choice Award. The Official Selections of the 2013 Chicago Food Film Festival are reviewed by a judging panel comprised of members of Chicago’s food and film communities. The 2013 judges are: Check, Please! Host Catherine De Orio, ABC 7’s Steve Dolinsky, Reporter Rick Kogan, Famed Food Writer / TV Host David Rosengarten, Chicago Film Office Director Rich Moskal and Deputy Director Betsey Grais, Takedown King Matt Timms and the uber-fab Chef/Consultant Akiko Moorman.

Returning to Chicago for its 4th consecutive year offering a unique series of events where food and film lovers get to taste what they see on the screen, the Chicago Food Film Festival is the only festival in the world that serves the food that is seen in the films. Produced in association with the James Beard Foundation and benefiting the Good Food Project, the 2013 Chicago Food Film Festival runs from November 21st through November 23rd at Kendall College in Chicago, IL. The Chicago Food Film Festival has grown from an intimate food-nerd date-night destination to one of Chicago’s most beloved festivals, and the largest of its kind in the world. Earlier this year, The Food Film Festival kicked off its annual event in Charleston, South Carolina, where it will return in Spring 2014. And, The 2013 NYC Food Film Festival ran October 23-27 in Manhattan.  The Food Film Festival was created by Travel Channel Host George Motz, the documentary filmmaker behind the award-winning Hamburger America film, book, and mobile app (BurgerGPS), along with Harry Hawk. Through documentaries, features and short films, the Festival presents the best, and the most memorable, of the world’s favorite and exotic foods on the big screen…and then serves them to the guests.
