Brunch is one of our all time favorite meals! Been to any of these three joints lately? Check out their latest brunch options what are guaranteed to please. In Lincoln Park, El’s Kitchen and Bar, known for their BBQ, is now serving brunch with bottomless bloody mary’s and mimosas( $15) and reasonably priced food options like brisket egg’s Benedict ($10). PERK: Kids even eat free before 1pm. On April 28th award- winning Acadia will be open for Sunday brunch with their prixe-fixe menus for $35/ person. This includes three scrumptious courses with items like Crepes with Gruyere cheese and Lobster Eggs Benedict. Lastly, Tesori Italian restaurant is now open for brunch on the weekends and it looks quite  good.  We’re amped to taste Tesori’s French Toast with rum soaked brioche and the Tesori Benedict made with prosciutto and creamy brie cheese. Enough said.

What They’re Cookin’ Up: It’s Halibut Season

Gemini Bistro.

The oh-so-short Wild Alaskan Halibut season is here. Chef Partner Jason Paskewitz and his two Lincoln Park hotspots, Gemini Bistro + Rustic House, are prepared to serve up this tender white fish in a bunch of delicious ways. Weekly specials at Gemini Bistro = pan seared halibut with pea shoots, roasted baby carrots, caramelized onions and a lemon beurre blanc for $32. At Rustic House, pan seared Atlantic halibut is prepared with a corn purée, sauteed asparagus and shimeji mushrooms for $28. Paskewitz will be highlighting the mild, yet slightly sweet nature of wild Alaskan halibut by pairing it with fresh, seasonal ingredients. BONUS DIRT: the fish is certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council. The weekly specials at both of these hotspots will rotate weekly, and just as a heads up, both spots are closed on Mondays. Gemini Bistro: 2075 N. Lincoln. Rustic House: 1967 N. Halsted.
